Ananda T.E. situated 30KM east of North Lakhimpur town district head quarter of Lakhimpur district . It is connected by Road NH52 and also metergage railway. North of it lies the Arunachal Pardesh . Population arround 11000 Majority Adivasis of tea garden arround 60 % ,Assamese 20% ,Nepali 10% , Misig 10%.

Adivasis are very poor. They dippend on Tea garden wage which is very low. Most of the children engaged as child labour in the Tea garden to help their parants in earning . only 5% population is litrate in the community . Therefore People Action for Development has started an

English medium school to educate the poor Adivasi

children .The Don Bosco School which has been stared this (20th Jan.2006)year with 45 poor children in LKG.
